As part of its commitment to cutting-edge research, development and deployment of new technologies to help improve the recovery of difficult-to-access hydrocarbon resources, and to fulfill its commitment to improve the environmental impacts of oil production, the PTRC will be the host of the International Energy Agency Enhanced Oil Recovery Symposium this August in Regina. The event, which in the last two years has been hosted in Vienna, Austria and Aberdeen, Scotland, will offer two days of research in five distinct focus areas within EOR, as well as a special day of selected presentations on carbon-dioxide (CO2) enhanced oil recovery research. Conference details and a call for papers (deadline May 1, 2012) may be found at the conference’s website.
