PTRC ANNOUNCES THE DEPARTURE OF CEO AND PRESIDENT RANJITH NARAYANASAMY

The Board of Directors of the Petroleum Technology Research Centre today announced the departure of the company’s CEO and President, Ranjith (Ran) Narayanasamy, effective November 28th, 2025.

“Ran has accepted a new position of employment, and we offer him our full support and wish him every success with his new employer,” said Board Chair Randy Brunet. “Ran came to PTRC in February 2022 and has played a significant role in reshaping the company and discovering new business streams and research directions that have enhanced Saskatchewan’s energy landscape.”

Mr. Narayanasamy will stay on until the end of November to help transition the company into new leadership.  He leaves PTRC stronger and more financially secure than his arrival – what any CEO and President aims to accomplish in his tenure.

“Ran’s three-and-a-half years at PTRC fostered the company’s transition into different areas of energy RD&D, from its traditional focus on enhanced oil recovery and CO2 monitoring and storage, to geothermal energy, compressed air energy storage, and most recently the development of PTRC’s new Energy Innovation Hub,” noted Brunet.

The PTRC’s Board, staff, affiliated researchers and sponsors, all thank Mr. Narayanasamy and wish him success in his future position.
