The PTRC hosted the 33rd Annual Internationl Energy Agency Enhanced Oil Recovery Symposium and Workshop August 26-30th. Papers were presented by research scientists from around the world - over 13 different countries - and the 90 delegates were enthusiastic about the quality of research provided. The PTRC followed up the event with a one-day field trip to SaskPower's Integrated Carbon Capture and Storage Demonstration Project, PTRC's Aquistore injection site, and Cenovus Energy's CO2-EOR operations in Weyburn. Saskatchewan was praised for its world-leading approaches to CO2 capture, utilization and storage.
