After careful consideration, and discussions with the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Technology Research Centre, Dr. Malcolm Wilson has retired as Chief Executive Officer of the PTRC effective June 14.
Dr. Wilson assumed the position of CEO in January, 2011. His tenure saw the completion of the IEAGHG Weyburn-Midale CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project and the reinvigoration of the PTRC’s enhanced oil recovery research through increased industry engagement and participation. His decision to leave the PTRC means he will be able to spend more time with family and friends, and maintain a less demanding work schedule as a consultant, both in Canada and internationally.
The PTRC thanks Malcolm for all his contributions to making the organization a success and wishes him well in his retirement.
Mr. Neil Wildgust, Chief Projects Officer at the PTRC, will be acting CEO.
